"The Killing" season 4 spoilers revealed that the series is heading to Netflix for the final season, as detectives Linden and Holder embark on a journey towards their own happy ending.

Netflix picked up the final six episodes of the show, after the shared cost with AMC on season 3 which allowed the latter to first get the broadcasting rights and then the streaming rights is given to Netflix. The AMC already cancelled the series twice before because of disappointing ratings, according to WorldTVPC.

Meanwhile, Buzzfeed revealed "The Killing" season 4 spoilers after it griped about the six-episode arc being too contrived to give both Linden and Holder a happy ending.

In the aftermath of Detective Sarah Linden (Mireille Enos) killing Detective James Skinner (Elias Koteas) after it was revealed that he was the serial killer Pied Piper, the writers of the show took the time to wipe off the evidence for Linden and Holder to escape jail.

That decision, according to Buzzfeed, is a mistake.

"'The Killing' has never been a 'happy endings' kind of show: The series, which premiered on AMC in 2010, is relentlessly bleak, so rainy and depressing that it makes 'The Leftovers' look optimistic,"

According to "The Killing" season 4 spoilers, Linden confesses to the murder but Mayor Darren Richmond (Billy Campbell) covers up the evidence on a PR move because the serial killer was also a detective.

Following a time jump, Linden meets up with Stephen Holder (Joel Kinnaman) in Seattle and "by the looks of it, embark on a romantic relationship with her former partner."

"'The Killing' is as close to nihilism as TV gets: It's not there to offer hope for mankind or even for its characters. As sad as it would be to see Linden or Holder locked up, it would at least be in line with the futility of their attempts to do the right thing," the website said.
