The Joe Jonas and Blanda Eggenschwiler split has been confirmed, after twenty months of dating bliss. Joe's representative maintains the decision was mutual for both parties, although some sources claim his family's disapproval is one of the reasons for the breakup.

The ex-couple has been very visible on social events for the past months, and had no qualms about the media coverage. It appears their interest towards each other burned out, though.

Joe's representative comments: "Joe and Blanda have mutually decided to part ways. The split was amicable and the two remain friends, with great respect for one another."

Though the couple had a good run in their relationship, signs of tension started at a Hollywood party last June 19, where "He posed for photos by himself and then stormed inside," according to the Us Weekly insider.

On the flipside, Joe's carefree lifestyle after he met Blanda rubbed off on the family, and an insider says his loved ones are thankful for the breakup.
