Although there's still a long way to go before its 2016 season four premiere, 'Sherlock' star Benedict Cumberbatch is already very eager to start filming for the series. Read on for some juicy 'Sherlock' season 4 spoilers.

When asked by MTV about the possible return of Sherlock's arch enemy, Moriarty, next season, the British actor replied in the affirmative.

"Yeah, I think so," he told MTV. However, he will "casually choose to forget in order to rediscover it again a little bit."

To keep fans guessing, the 'The Hobbit' actor quickly added, "We get a rough idea of where it's going to go before we get the script. But I like casually forgetting, not least because there's a lot of other traffic between then and now, but also because it's more fun because it's slightly more fresh."

Producers Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffat previously told Digital Spy that Moriarty's last minute appearance in the season three finale was actually done on a whim. Moffat admitted that they had put in Moriarty's "Did you miss me?" cut after the credits were put in.

However, when Vulture asked if he faked his own death as well, (like what Sherlock did in the season 2 finale) Moffat said that they won't be deciding this aspect of the story right off the bat.

"I can't really say what we're doing with that, but there is no last-minute whim in this," the showrunner admitted, "We've had what we're going to do with Moriarty in place from before the second season. Exactly what we're going to do. I remember talking it through with Andrew Scott, who plays Moriarty. Wait and see what's going to happen."

Meanwhile, 'Sherlock' season 4 spoiler reports mention that the third Holmes brother will be making his appearance. Mark Gatiss (who plays Mycroft Holmes in the series) earlier joked about asking 'Thor' star Tom Hiddleston to take the role.

If this is true, then 'Sherlock' would definitely bring literature and comic book geeks together, what with Hiddleston doing a very good job of portraying Loki in the Marvel franchise. Not to mention adding another massive fanbase to 'Sherlock' along with Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman's global following.
