Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain says he is happily contented with his current club after being linked with a move to Barcelona. He says he will stay with Napoli and be calm over the future of his career at least for the summer.

The athlete is reportedly being eyes by Barcelona in the transfer window. Lionel Messi, a player of Barcelona and the poster boy of La Albiceleste, said that he would love to play alongside with his Argentine compatriot at the Nou Camp.

This speculation in the matter toned down in the past few weeks after Barcelona brought in Luis Suarez from Liverpool. However, Higuain is firm that he will stay wherever he is and that he has never considered leaving Napoli for he is doing fine the way he is right now.

The former Real Madrid forward said: "I only thought about the World Cup and that I would return to Napoli," Higuain was considerably calm about the issue, he said, he had nothing to fear and there was nothing to comment on.

"Messi said certain things and I can only be flattered by them." He added when asked about the comments made by Lionel Messi.

"I believe that every player would love to play alongside a great champion like him, but that does not mean that I ever wanted to leave."

Higuain, being happily contented with his club said: "But if Messi came to Napoli, that would be great."

The athlete's decision to help Napoli savor their success this season remains solid. The club is also expecting an open title race after Inter Milan has brought in a number of reinforcements.

Last season, Napoli almost reached the top and place third with seven points behind second-placed Roma and 24 adrift of runway leaders Juventus. "The league will be more balanced. I don't think there will be a club able to get 102 points like Juve." Higuain mentioned.

Inter Milan will be starting a new adventure as they have strengthened their team a lot and Juve, for certain, will be the team to beat.
