The Jay Z and Beyonce 'On The Run' tour recently wrapped up its North American leg with a concert at the AT&T Park in San Francisco on August 6.
The 19-city gig reportedly grossed over $100 million and pulled in more than 90% capacity for every venue, according to Omar Al-Joulani, Vice President of North American touring for Live Nation. The joint concert series topped 850,000 attendees, averaging 45,000 per show.
When asked about discord rumors between the couple, Al-Joulani only said that he hadn't read the reports. He also debunked hearsays of the tour losing money because of it, insisting that "everybody's winning."
"These shows sold tremendously well at the end, so we were able to sell-up limited-view and clean up production holds or other holds," said the Live Nation representative. "It was a very successful tour, and we're pleased to have that big gross number at the end."
Forbes reports that the couple is earning at a higher rate than the legendary rock group Rolling Stones, who grossed $87.7 million for their 18-date tour in the first half of 2013. Together, Jay Z and Beyonce's 'On The Run' tour grossed roughly $5 million a night.
The strong ticket sales report comes after constant news of divorce and cheating rumors between the couple from tabloids. It seems the negative press only served as promotion for the show, with thousands streaming in to watch the Carters perform together on stage.
On the verge of divorce or not, there's still no denying Jay Z and Beyonce's synergy on stage. They certainly know how to hype up their performances; they know when to give way to each other and come together for an explosive duet.
The both of them have certainly helped each other's personal accounts grow as well. Beyonce topped this year's Forbes Celebrity 100 list with $115 million. Jay Z, on the other hand, had his best earning since 2010 at $69 million.
Whatever happens to them in the future, the Jay Z and Beyonce 'On The Run' tour certainly gave them more money and time to spend together.
