Remember Nicky Bryne? If you are a Westlife fan, for sure you know him or remember him.

Former Westlife boyband member reportedly has garnered more listeners on 2fm than RTE veteran Ryan Tubridy.

According to Hearal.IE, The Late Late Show host lost 4,000 listeners from the last survey three months ago.

Accorrding to survey report, his total listenership now stands at 144,000 - some 1,000 less than ex-Westlife star, whose with Jenny Greene in a show has take a slight dip down from 151,000 to 145,000.

Tubridy is covering for Simon Mayo on BBC Radio in London this week, and this show has dropped a massive 15,000 listeners when compared with the July 2013 ratings.

2fm boss Dan Healy stated: "Ryan's ratings are still strong. Shows in a three-hour slot always perform stronger than those in a two-hour slot. That's why Nicky is ahead. We still have total faith in Ryan as a broadcaster.

2Fm boss admitted that he had "written off" this quarter because he was expecting figures to drop given the raft of changes in 2fm.

He said:

"We have revamped the station entirely. We knew there were going to be some casualties when it comes to listeners, but we're prepared to make those sacrifices.

"At the moment 2fm is running a marathon while having open heart surgery. There are a lot of challenges, but we're taking them on the chin."
