iPad Air 2 Vs. iPad Mini 3: Apple is allegedly preparing to launch two new iPads comprising of a third-generation iPad mini and a new version of the iPad Air. These tablets are anticipated for the company's fall line-up. According to Streetwise Tech, new images of the next gen iPad are leaked online.

Reportedly, the image source is the microblogging site Sina Weibo of China, which is discovered by Nowhereelse.fr. The image shows that the new gen iPad may carry bigger outlets for speakers, volume buttons are recessed and its microphone slot is relocated right next to the iSight camera. The leaked photos also show that Apple is sticking to its traditional design, without much difference to its previous models. According to Gotta Be Mobile, a leaked photo shows a slight difference in thickness. The description is that the new iPad Air is about a millimeter thinner.

Buzzes for iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3, according to Gotta Be Mobile includes camera upgrades up to 8MP and processor upgrades to the new A8 chip with 64-bit processing power. Both are rumored to get Apple's iOS 8 software. Load the Game noted that iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3 will receive upgraded front cameras with 1.5MP sensor.

Reportedly, the iPad Air 2 might have a 9.7 inch display screen with 2048 x 1536 resolution, the same proportions that the previous iPad air has.

The iPad Mini 3 according to Ming-Chi Kuo, the man who accurately predicted many of the iPhone 5s' features ahead of time, will retain the same design as its predecessor. The two tablets are believed to feature the TouchID technology that will revamp the new button design and home button of iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3.

Allegedly, the iPad Air 2's price might start at $499 price point and Kuo believes that the iPad mini 3 is at $399 starting price point.
