Daniel Craig is set to return as James Bond 007 in the new Bond flick "Bond 24."
The 24th film in the Bond franchise will be directed by "Skyfall" director Sam Mendes. Aside from Craig reprising his role, it has been previously reported that Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris and Ben Whishaw will be back to play M, Moneypenny and Q, respectively.
For months, rumors have been centered on who will play the Bond girl and Bond villain in the new movie. While some reports pointed out Penelope Cruz as the most viable choice for the female lead, others saw Kate Upton as another worthy candidate.
But all those speculations might now come to a stop as new reports claim that French actress Léa Seydoux has been considered for the role. No official confirmation has been made regarding the latest casting rumor, but it is highly likely that Seydoux has replaced Cruz as the producers' top bet.
Seydoux is well known for her role in "Blue is the Warmest Color," "Beauty and the Beast," and "The Grand Budapest Hotel."
Meanwhile, a new name has been linked to the Bond villain role. "12 Years A Slave" star Chiwetel Ejiofor is reportedly being eyed to play opposite Daniel Craig in the new movie. Details on the said rumor have yet to be released.
"Bond 24" is scheduled for a November 2015 release in the US.
