Auditions for American Idol Season 14 are almost done but one lucky Nashville aspirant got to do more than just sing for the judges.
According to People, the season 14 hopeful got a golden ticket to Hollywood as well as a chance to slow dance with the audition show's beauty, Jennifer Lopez.
"Dance with you right now?" the 45-year-old bombshell responded when the aspirant asked to dance with her. "What kind of dancing? Because my heels are really high..."
After a little convincing, the 'I Luh Yah, Papi' singer finally stepped out from the judges' table and took her place in front of the contestant. Fellow judges Keith Urban and Harry Connick, Jr provided the pair's background music by playing guitar and piano respectively.
The Nashville contestant, who was shy at first, sang Sam Smith's 'Stay With Me' (which incidentally was the same song he got a golden ticket with) as he danced with the Latina hitmaker. All the judges reportedly loved the young man's rendition of Sam Smith's hit song.
He initially held Lopez at a distance but the 'On The Floor' hitmaker wanted him to make the most of this rare opportunity.
"You're trying to be a gentleman? No," she promptly put her arms around his neck and rested her head on his shoulder as they swayed to the music, insisting that "This is how you slow-dance."
As the dance ended, JLo thanked the beaming 'American Idol' season 14 hopeful.
"This is so sweet. That's the most fun I've had in months," the mother of two told everyone.
The Nashville audition was reportedly a bit hit, with thousands of aspiring singers-from excited 15-year-olds to determined 28-year-olds-lining up as early as the night before for a chance to sing in front of the three judges.
The 'American Idol' season 14 crew will then move on to San Francisco for the last batch of live auditions.
