Gina Carano and Ronda Rousey's fight is still under negotiation and UFC Pres. Dana White is allegedly optimistic about it even it's complicated." With these reports, UFC veteran and former Ultimate Fighter star Manny Gamburyan recently spoke to Submission Radio about his thoughts on Ronda Rousey's next potential fight with the former "Strikeforce" star.
"I mean right now, I don't think anyone could match up with Ronda. I really don't believe anyone can fight, (or) not even come close to fight Ronda Rousey. She's on a tear. If it's Gina Carano then yeah, you know. I see an easy night. First round again," he said.
Meanwhile, MMA Torch reported that Rousey expressed in an interview last week that she believed a fight with Gina Carano could be one of her stiffest challenges despite the fact that Carano hasn't fought in five years.
"My coach said from the start that Gina is the worst style matchup for me," Rousey said as reported by the Cagewriter.
"I'm not just saying that. I don't have to worry about fighters outmuscling or overwhelming me or catching me on the mat. The only thing I have to worry about is the one-punch knockout. And out of all of the women in MMA, Gina has the best feel for distance and timing. That's not something you lose because you made a couple of movies. You'll always have that. And she was the first girl I ever saw that had a one-punch standing knockout," she added.
However, recent report noted that Randy Couture who helped train Carano in the past, thinks that the idea of having an immediate title bout is "fair or prudent for the former Strikeforce and EliteXC standout" according to MMA Fighting site.
Carano expressed her intentions for returning to the fight game when she appeared on The Arsenio Hall Show earlier this year.
