Samsung Galaxy S3 Update: IBT reported that Samsung has stopped the software service support to the Galaxy S3 with Exynos chipset due to lack of RAM capacity. Reportedly, users can still get to upgrade their I9300 by installing custom ROM such as Android V4.3 Jelly Bean UBUGNG1 via Chain Fire's CF-Auto-Root.
Pre-requisites before installation:
- Make sure Samsung Galaxy S3 GT-I9300 is running on the official update Android v4.3 Jelly Bean (UBUGNG1)
- Rooting of devices sometimes (if procedure is not followed properly) leads to complete data wipe out, so make sure to back all the data. [Install Clockwork Mod (CWM) Recovery/ TWRP in the smartphone to save the data].
- Users make sure they have installed USB drivers on the PC, or else your phone (Samsung Galaxy S3 GT-I9300) will not be recognized by the computer.
- Make sure your device has more than 80 percent battery, or else there is chance of smartphone getting temporarily bricked if the rooting process is interrupted in the mid-way.
- Though rooting of smartphone enables more control to users over the smartphone, the company warranty will stand void and will no longer be liable for future updates [warranty can be restored by flashing the device with stock-ROM]
Note: This ROM updates are not coming from Samsung and have nothing to do with the already mentioned company. This report is only made to inform users of possible updates and this site is not liable for any damages that these installations may cause.
