Nintendo 3DS XL bundle and standalone offers won't let up, deals and price slashed at retailer Rakuten; new 3DS XL titles at discounts.
A new adventure title will be paired with the Nintendo 3DS XL bundle offers; fans of Metroid and Castlevania will find Xeodrifter familiar, and will have a new game to play on the portable console.
Developer Renegade Kid releases the 3DS game, and Nintendo launches it as part of a bundle. Co-founder Jools Watsam considers the title as instantly playable, targeted towards casual players who prefer a "small, bite-sized experience [in gameplay]."
Expect gameplay to be short and sweet, though. Nonetheless, a new title for the Nintendo 3DS is always welcome, and Renegade Kid's offering is more appealing as part of a price-slashed bundle.
For players who'd like to jump into the 3DS bandwagon, the console's regular and XL versions are also available at a discount, even without games bundled in.
Rakuten is the retailer of choice for sweet discounts on Nintendo 3DS XL bundle and standalone purchases. The Nintendo 3DS XL console is available at $184.99, which is competitive in comparison to other retailers. The red or black themed consoles are also sold at a $15 discount, almost 7% cheaper than the regular price of $199.99.
Skins and accessories for the 3DS are sold at a five-dollar discount, the Hybrid Apparel Giant Panda skin 16% less than the regular price of $29.99. Some items retain their regular prices, though.
Popular Nintendo 3DS games (previous releases) come with slashed prices; as part of a bundle, the Mario and Luigi Dream Team is offered at $198.75, just over a dollar's discount shy of the $199.99 regular price.
The Nintendo 3DS XL bundle with The Legend of Zelda: a Link between Worlds slashes $10 off the regular price of $299.99. Nintendo 3DS XL owners have more reasons to keep their consoles with bundles and discounts at retail sites (gadgetinsiders.com).
