New release date and game details for Final Fantasy XV have been revealed.

Examnier.com has reported before, that FFXV director Tetsuya Nomura revealed his plans for the game during last month's San Diego Comic-Con. Gameranx further elaborates that although he showed up in the event, he won't be showing off his latest projects, FFXV and Kingdom Heats 3.

Square Enix had already showcased their lineup of games in San Diego Comic-Con 2014, which include Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix, Lara Croft and The Temple of Osiris, Nosgoth as well as spin-off titles from the Final Fantasy and Hitman series.

Despite skipping several events, a Square Enix producer previously hinted that fans could hear more about FFV and Kingdom Hearts 3 in other conventions later this year. Tetsuya Nomura is co-directing the game with Final Fantasy Type-0 director Hajime Tabata as the game is being ported to the PS4 and Xbox One consoles.

Gematsu has reported that Tetsuya Nomura shared some new game details regarding FFXV.

"Final Fantasy XV is the first game of the Final Fantasy numbered title that is an action-based RPG. Since the beginning of 3D graphics, Final Fantasy has largely used pre-rendered movies, but what's different about this new hardware is that it allows you to direct what has previously been pre-rendered and make it real-time. For this reason, even in considerably dynamic scenes, the player can still control their character."

He also talked about the realistic graphics that will be integrated into the game.

"Because Final Fantasy XV's theme is 'fantasy based on reality,' the concept for the art is to look like real-world spaces. That a fantasy is happening within this is a major point for Final Fantasy XV. Realizing this power of expression was difficult before PlayStation 4. It has been ages since the last Final Fantasy game was released."

Meanwhile, the rumored PC version of FFXV has been cancelled.

According to reports from Attack of the Fanboy, freelance writer Daniel Sims claimed that Square Enix will not have a PC version of Final Fantasy XV as he tweeted about it in his Twitter account.

Cyberland has reported that Final Fantasy XV PC release date was revealed when fans saw the game on the Steam database. In a different report it was revealed that Square Enix is planning a March 2015 release for Kingdom Hearts 3 and a May 2015 release date for FFXV.

The Bit Bag reported before that Square Enix President, Yosuke Matsuda, stated that while the Final Fantasy XV will not be showcased at E3 2014, he confirmed that they are working on the PC version of the game right now. He allegedly revealed that the games were made with Direct X 11 tools and they've already confirmed that Final Fantasy XV will be released on PC.

"We haven't decided when, but we're currently preparing new information that may meet everyone's expectations. Please wait for a little while longer."
