Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that he will be testing his new comers at the UEFA Super Cup against Sevilla.
Toni Kroos and James Rodriguez will be playing for the Real Madrid for their debut performance. They had just started their training last August 5 ever since they finished their appearances in the World Cup. Both players will join the team in the kick-off according to Ancelotti. Kroos is expected to partner Luka Modric in central midfield since Xabi Alonso has been suspended.
Ancelotti also said that Ballon d'Or-winner Cristiano Ronaldo will also be playing for the team amidst issues of injury during the World Cup. He said "Cristiano is well. He has no problem. He's worked with the others at maximum intensity and I believe he's in good physical condition."
"He's participated in everything and is ready to play this match. He's facing this season with a positive spirit."
Gareth Bale will also be playing for Real Madrid according to Ancelotti saying "I don't know if he's going to play, because everyone's saying, 'He's back home, he's back home. It could be strange if he starts on the bench!"
According to rumors, the future of Sami Khedira and Angel di Maria are on the rocks ever since the arrival of the two new midfielders.
With regards to this Ancelotti said of di Maria "This is an issue that we don't need to talk about now, facing this match. This is an issue that we don't need to talk about now, facing this match."
He added "He's come very concentrated on this task and as far as his future's concerned, we can't tell how that will pan out. We must wait until August 31 (when the transfer window closes)."
On the other hand, the coach said of Khedira "Sami Khedira is a Real Madrid player because he has a contract that stops on June 30, 2015. So right now he is a Real Madrid player and he's training to help Real Madrid win titles."
Both Toni Kroos and James Rodriguez are excited to be playing for Real Madrid and many are looking forward to them playing for their new team.
