"Scandal" creator Shonda Rhimes has confirmed that two new characters will join the series next season.

"In Plain Sight" alum Mary McCormack and "Ed" star Josh Randall will be joining the ABC series, but only as guest stars and only for a single episode, according to TV Line.

As of late, no other details have been divulged by Rhimes so no one knows just yet what exactly they would contribute to the show's success.

What has been confirmed is that McCormack and Randall will be appearing in one of the first episodes this coming season 4, E! News reported.

McCormack has been previously involved in a number of TV credits, including NBC's "Welcome to the Family," "The West Wing" and "Murder One."

Randall, on the other hand, was previously involved in "Greek," "Criminal Minds," "Scrubs" and "Raising the Bar."

Meanwhile, prior to the announcement, another newbie cast member has also been tapped to join the successful series.

Ellen DeGeneres herself leaked the news that her wife, Portia de Rossi, has signed on to appear in multiple episodes next season, the same publication confirmed. De Rossi's has not yet been revealed.

"The Newsroom's" Kelen Coleman will also be appearing on the show's premiere episode this coming September 25.

Rhimes has also revealed a number of new spoilers that will definitely get fans talking. Of course, everyone needs to follow the love story of Fitz and Olivia, but audiences also need to watch out for Fitz and Mellie's reunion.

It is still unclear whether or not the estranged husband and wife will get back together romantically, or they will merely close a chapter of their lives following the death of their son, Breathe Cast noted.

An African-American actor will also be tapped to join the series, but nothing has been finalized as of late.
