According to LATimes, the "Ice Bucket Challenge" is not only aiming to reprieve summer heat, but its goal is for a good cause: raising awareness of ALS, or Lou Gehrig's disease.
This icy challenge is everywhere and many have accepted the challenge. There are pictures and videos posted on Facebook or Twitter of showering cold water. The goal of this challenge is to raise money and awareness for ALS, or known as Lou Gehrig's disease.
Justin Timberlake accepted this icy challenge last Tuesday, said by Vanity Fair. JT posted video alongside a whole throng of people.
After pouring icy water on his head, JT said that he's nominating Jimmy Fallon and do the same thing he did. Did Jimmy accepted the challenge? Yes, he did! Watch this video:
Jimmy Fallon was not alone when he took this challenge, as The Roots and Rob Riggle accompanied him and they done it in the studio wearing their corporate suites. The host/comedian challenged the New York Jets to do the same challenge.
So did NY Jets respond? Yes they are! Just a fresh update from CBSSports.com, it's not only ice bucket but there's a fire hose involved!
According to the same source, last Tuesday, "Bill Belichick and Patriots owner Bob Kraft took the challenge. There was also some guy who used a helicopter to take the challenge". The Jets responded on Fallon's challenge, and decided to one-up everyone on Wednesday, and they used a fire hose. It said that they don't have a choice because the host of Tonight Show challenged the whole team.
