News has been circulating around the internet that Seattle Seahawks star running back Marshawn Lynch was caught up in an assault which damaged personal properties.
But according to the Seahawks, the accusations are baseless and not true. The Team said in a statement that they respect the investigation process but right after talking to Lynch they found that the allegations are not true.
On the other hand, the Bellevue Police Department also released a statement saying the alleged incident happened around 2:30 AM on Sunday and that the running back was involved.
The newest information coming from the Bellevue Police Department states through police public information officer Seth Tyler said that "We have a full-time detective working this case and that detective has made significant progress in investigating these allegations fully and thoroughly."
Head coach Pete Carroll added "'I'll just go along with the statement that we made for right now and support whatever the statement was from the club. It's not a topic for us right now. We're not talking about it."
Lynch joined the team during their practice last Tuesday. He has been working overtime since he started reporting right after an issue with a contract dispute with the team. He has been ramping up his workout routines with the team.
It can be remembered that 28 year old Marshawn Lynch is making a stand for himself with regards to his contract structure. Lynch was signed to a four year contract under the Seahawks in 2012. It is because of this that running back is making a statement and defied instructions by not appearing in the teams open training camp.
This is Lynch's third year with the Seahawks and he would be able to make $5.5 million this year which includes base pay and roster bonuses. Aside from that, he would also me making another $5.5 million next year for his last year with the team.
Lynch performance with the team has been great ever since he started playing for the Seattle Seahawks. Fans of Lynch as well as the Seahawks are looking forward to his renewed performance and routines this coming season.
