This week, Nicki Minaj went ahead of Michael Jackson on Billboard's Most Hot 100 hits. The female rapper got her 51st spot in the 100 hits, as her new single "Anaconda" enters at #19. Anaconda is from the album, "The Pink Print."

Minaj is a hot rapper and artist, however, she didn't make it on the Hot 100 until two years ago, when she collaborated with Lil Wayne's "Knockout". She released a single entitled, "Your Love," but did not make it in the Hot 100 until June 2010.

In 1971, the "Got to be there," song of Jackson has dominated 50 chart hits, followed by two more hits. This year, "Love Never Felt So Good" and "Slave to the Rhythm," a "from the grave" duet with Justin Timberlake.

Presently, featured credits let artists to climb up large numbers of hits. In the history of music, Jackson is one of the most popular and successful artists. In Jackson's day, they had to earn every hit song on their own. This is all about evolving practices and customs.

Minaj's "Anaconda," made it on the Hot 100 as co-lead or lead artist. Most of her hit songs were collaborative works with other artists. On the contrary, all 50 of Jackson's Hot 100 hits were solely performed by him. Although, Jackson also have collaborations with other singers like Diana Ross in "Eaten Alive," in 1985, which made it to #7 and featured credit on Rockwell's "Somebody's Watching Me," in 1984, that made it to #2.

The second hit of Minaj is also in this week's Hot 100, entitled "Bang Bang," featuring Ariana Grande and Jessie J, which falls from #6 to #9 during the second week.

In July 1992, "Baby Got Back," made it to #1 for five weeks, Minaj was only nine years old at the time. Minaj's other hits are "Superbass," "The Boys," "Moment for Life" and " Pound the Alarm."
