"House of Cards" season 3 cast Kevin Spacey refused to tag Frank Underwood as a bad man as the multi-awarded actor posted on Twitter a touching tribute to Robin Williams.

In an interview with NBC News, "House of Cards" season 3 cast Kevin Spacey was asked what he thinks of his character Frank Underwood and his motivations.

"That's what theatre is, what we do as actors is hold up a mirror," he said. "If people walk away from watching a Shakespeare' play or watching Meryl Streep in some movie about a politician, or watching some symphony, this is where we recognize ourselves both our best qualities and our worst qualities."

So is Frank Underwood a bad man?

"All I'm saying is that well may be someone else's opinion of him but I can't wear that on my sleeve," he said.

Earlier, creator Beau Willimon talked to Katie Couric for The Aspen Institute as he weighed in on the fate of Frank Underwood.

Katey Couric asked the showrunner about the future for both Frank and Claire Underwood (Robin Wright since, "their whole lives have been kind of focused on this ultimate power grab, now that they have achieved it, is it challenging how to keep things interesting?"

"Look it's challenging, but not to keep things interesting, that precise question is the crux of moving forward, when your entire identity is directional it's all very clear, and it makes sense." he said. "When you've achieved your destination, once you get there what do you do with that achievement ... I'm not going to tell you what they're going to do."

He said for Frank Underwood, if getting there was the purpose, then he has achieved meaning for his existence.

Meanwhile, "House of Cards" cast Kevin Spacey paid tribute to Robin Williams when he wrote on his Twitter: "Robin Williams made the world laugh & think. I will remember & honor that. A great man, artist and friend. I will miss him beyond measure."

Robin Williams was found dead inside his home in Tiburon near San Francisco around 12 noon, reports said. Police initially ruled his death as suicide although they are investigating the cause and circumstances of the incident. He was last seen at 10 a.m. of Sunday.
