BabyMetal defended by Carcass!

British extreme pioneer metal band Carcass defended the young J-rock band Babymetal, which is consist of members Suzuka Nakamoto (a.k.a. Su-Metal, who handles vocals and dancing), Yui Mizuno (a.k.a. Yuimetal) and Moa Kikuchi (a.k.a. Moametal). All of the girls wear gothy schoolgirl costumes, do choreographed dance routines and bang their heads during performing their singles.

According to Blabbermouth, the three girls admitted that they had never listened to metal before joining the group. There are mix reactions on metal fans and even online users. Lately, the band has been featured on Teens React To... a Youtube video where teens are giving comments and answer question on randaom Youtube video

During their tour at Sonisphere Festival in UK, many heavy metal fans embrace their genre including the producer Kobametal and a backing band of corpse-painted virtuosos. Add also Lady Gaga. However, though they received many praises from metal pioneers, some Internet forums calling them "the definition of a gimmick", "awful" and "metal for hipsters."

A statement from Jeff Walker, CARCASS bassist/vocalist,

"My highlight was getting my picture taken with BABYMETAL.I'm starting to warm to the idea of what they're doing. It's actually fun, you know - like GHOST, to be honest. Some people get very reactionary about a band like GHOST or BABYMETAL. It puts a smile on people's faces. That's what music's about, isn't it?! Enjoying it and not being so serious." he said.

While CARCASS guitarist Bill Steer said: "I mean, obviously, we don't cover this ourselves, but the fun, entertainment angle [in music], it is important."
