The new Doctor is making the promotional rounds, making sure that fans of the long running series Doctor Who will get on board with him on his crazy new adventures. Peter Capaldi, the newest incarnation of the time traveling doctor was recently spotted in Sydney, Australia at the Doctor Who World Tour, with co-star Jenna Coleman.
The 56-year old actor shared something about the Tardis, the time machine and spacecraft on which the doctor travels one. "The very first thing I had to do was to get into that Tardis, and I'm thinking, 'oh my god, this is the actual Tardis,' except of course it's not bigger on the inside; it's actually smaller," the actor revealed.
Just last week we caught the first glimpse of Capaldi as the new doctor, with the release of the Doctor Who season 8 spisode 1 trailer. It looked like the Doctor has just gotten himself into some new escapades, with dinosaurs, and a redecorated TARDIS, which Clara is clearly not impressed with.
There are also familiar faces that we caught a glimpse of in the trailer, which is comforting, given that a new Doctor will be leading us in his insanely fun adventures.
The official plot for the Doctor Who season 8 episode 1, entitled "Deep Breath" tells us that the Doctor finds himself in London in the Victorian age -- but lo and behold, he finds a dinosaur rampaging on the River Thames. The episode also involves explosions and an alien conspiracy, tossed in for good time traveling fun.
According to reports, there will be 75 minutes of pure Doctor Who adventure on its season premiere. This is reportedly the longest episode of Doctor Who ever since the show got kickstarted again in 2005.
Be sure to tune in as Doctor Who premieres on August 23rd on BBC America.
