Fans have been looking forward to Taylor Swift's new album 2014 release date ever since the country pop star dropped 'Red' two years ago. However, more speculations about the new being debuted very soon started again when the Grammy-winning singer posted several cryptic clues on her Instagram and Twitter.
Billboard thought the three-second video where she was repeatedly pressing the 18th floor button in an elevator could pertain to Taylor Swift's new album 2014 release date, speculating it to be either August 18 or October 18.
The 'I Knew You Were Trouble' hitmaker is known to release her albums around the months of October and November. They also reported that the post could be a hint on the country princess' new single. It could be a possible sequel to her 2008 song, 'Fifteen.'
Last Monday, however, Swift revealed that the 18th floor 'clue' she posted on Instagram on August 4 to be a livestream Yahoo! event with the artist this coming August 18! Were fans disappointed? Apparently not.
Thanks to a reminder from Popdust, the 24-year-old singer already did a similar event in the past. She did a live Google+ Hangout two years ago. It was during that fan event that Swift revealed plans for 'We Will Never Ever Getting Back Together' as well as the cover art, release date, and other details for the widely popular 'Red' album.
"I'm so excited. I've wanted to tell you so many things for so long," Swift told her avid fans then, "So, I figured I would tell you them all...right now."
Will she pull the same stunt during this new Yahoo! livestream event? Whatever happens, fans will definitely look forward to it. The worldwide event will happen in New York City at 5 PM E.T.
The '22' singer also revealed an upcoming performance for the MTV Video Music Awards 2014. The country sweetheart is speculated to debut her new single during the awards show on August 24.
Whether she will or not, adoring followers will still wait eagerly for Taylor Swift's new album 2014 release date.
