"Westworld" spoilers hint of the same trajectory as far as casting is concerned, as the HBO series seems to be snagging one big star after another. "Lord of the Rings" star Miranda Otto is the latest celebrity to jump on the bandwagon.

According to the "Westworld" spoilers by The Hollwood Reporter, Miranda Otto will play the role of Virginia Pittman, the head of the department for quality assurance "whose brutal honesty with her colleagues and ruthless efficiency in dealing with malfunctioning 'property' have made her a formidable and unpredictable power player."

Earlier, Digital Spy reported "Westworld" spoilers when it revealed that Thandie Newton has joined the cast based on the adaptation of Michael Crichton's 1973 film. The "Mission: Impossible" star will play madame Maeve Millay, "whose life is forever changed by revelations about the true nature of the theme park."

"Westworld" will be executive produced by "Star Wars: Episode 7" director JJ Abrams along with Jerry Weintraub and Bryan Burk of Bad Robot. Jonathan Nolan, brother of "Dark Knight Rises" director Christopher Nolan, will also executive produce the show and direct some episodes as well.

Fans of Ed Harris have something to look forward to in "Westworld" as it is the first TV gig for the veteran actor. "X-Men" cast James Marsden has also landed a role in the already impressive cast that includes Anthony Hopkins and Evan Rachel Wood.

According to ScreenCrush, which revealed more "Westworld" spoilers, Ed Harris will play "The Man in Black-the distillation of pure villainy into one man." James Marsden, meanwhile, will play Teddy Flood, who will arrive in the small frontier town who immediately prove his talent for gab as well as his trusty revolver. He will also be attracted to a "local beauty" that will set off a chain of events.

"Westworld" tells the story of a futuristic resort where androids fulfill the fantasies of the guests. But the androids malfunction due to a virus and start to kill the guests and crew.
