Derrick Rose's comeback is almost complete as he wowed the Chicago crowd during the USA team vs. Brazil tune-up match, as the former MVP claimed that his game is "totally different" than before when he was adjudged the best in the game.
When prodded to talk about Derrick Rose's comeback, Coach K of Team USA told ESPN that he always has confidence about the ability of the Chicago point guard, and his role in the team.
"Derrick's role is easy to play, easy to work [with]. Just get the ball and be Derrick. And be Derrick for as long as you can," he said.
Derrick Rose also dished out how he changed his game following his first comeback.
"My game is totally different. When I came back last time, I was just trying to get in a groove. I think I felt a nice little groove," he told the website.
"My confidence is high right now, and I think even playing in the game [Saturday] you'll be able to see by the way that I attack the players defensively. And by the way I play offensively, just not rushing anything and just taking my time on pick and rolls and just letting the play develop," he added.
Derrick Rose's comeback to Chicago Saturday was electric, according to Yahoo Sports, even if he scored only seven points, four rebounds and two assists in 24 minutes. The USA team also won over Brazil, 95-78.
But the former MVP made a pretty move in the third quarter when he jumped high and switched hands in the air to score on a lay-up over Anderson Varejao.
"I just saw an opening and I went for it. I'm used to people cheering, so I didn't let it get to me or anything like that. It's just me playing how I normally play," he told Yahoo Sports.
