As you can see on the video, they mentioned the names of Ily Aldrige, Ingrid Michaelson and Jamie's husband Kyle Newman as these people nominated Swift and her BFF Jaime King.
Traditionally, they need to pass the challenge to any people that they desire. The pop star nominated Selena Gomez, Emma Stone and Ed Sheeran (pop star's nominees). Meanawhile, Jamie chose Lena Dunham, Topher Grace and the entire cast of "Hart of Dixie" to do the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge
Meanwhile, Justin Bieber also took the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. On his Instagram video, before he took the ice bucket on him, he nominated Ellen Degeneres, Barack Obama and Chris D'Elia
His exact statment is "Now I nominate Ellen, Barack Obama, and - who else? Chris D'Elia."
Aside from Bieber, Lebron James has also nominated the US president to take the ice bucket challenge.
Who invented the challenge?
According to Los Angeles Times, it was the brainchild of 29-year-old ALS patient Peter Frates, and the former captain of the Boston College baseball team. They drew inspiration from one of that club’s post-game rituals where they challenged some local athletes on Twitter to get iced.
The first challenge was reported on July 15.
Meanwhile, as for the US President's response, Huffington post said that Obama declined the challenge. However, the president pledged donation to ALS charity.
His spokesman, Eric Schultz, said
"The president appreciates Mrs. Kennedy thinking of him for the challenge -- though his contribution to this effort will be monetary."
