Fans are getting excited about the recent "Iron Man 4" rumors because there's a bigger chance of it happening soon. There were reports that the film will be released after five years to give way to "Avengers 3" and "Guardians of the Galaxy 2".
Christian Post reported, "An analysis of the dates indicates that assuming Iron Man 4 is definitely on the cards, then the most likely premiere date on the list would be May 3, 2019." Robert Downey Jr. also showed interest in making another movie.
The actor that plays Tony Stark told Entertainment Weekly, "It's down to Kevin (Feige, Marvel president) and Ike (Perlmutter, CEO of Marvel) and Disney to come to us with what the proposal is, and that's on us to agree or disagree." He added, "When things are going great, there's a lot of agreement."
Now that the "Iron Man 4" rumors are starting to fall into place, new spoilers have emerged. Movie Pilot revealed the possible plot for the next sequel. According to the website, "The main villain would be The Mandarin. And maybe either The Collector or The Nova Corps would have possession of Fin Fang Foom who would soon find Earth after the destruction of either the Collectors lair or the Corps."
The website continued, "And while on Earth, he fights Iron Man and runs away and finds the Mandarin and they would team-up to take down Tony Stark. Iron Man would win in the end and look into Fin. He would find that he was of cosmic origin and would fly off into the Galaxy and meet the Guardians and join their roster."
The latest "Iron Man 4" rumors sounded awesome, right? Let's see if this will be possible. Based on Marvel's limited series comic book "Iron Man: Viva Las Vegas", Fin Fang Foom, which is a green monster, battled Iron Man, so this could probably happen in the sequel. The Mandarin, on the other hand, has already appeared in "Iron Man 3" so he could be the link to the fourth installment.
Regarding the rumors of Iron Man joining the Guardians of the Galaxy, Brian Michael Bendis tried to explain to Screen Rant how it's going to take place. The award-winning comic book writer said, "Iron Man joins the team right from the get go, which is exciting and show that the Guardians are really the cosmic Avengers."
Bendis also revealed why Tony Stark chose to be with the Guardians. He said, "When Tony's with the Avengers, he's always top dog, alpha male, he's always kind of in charge. Here, he's going to be a fish way out of water. Even though he's been to outer space a few times, this is living in outer space, which is a completely different thing. And basically living on a pirate ship!"
