Fairly impressive mobile ratings have been given to Google Nexus 5, to the extent that it can seemingly compete with the strong features of LG G2. To know more about their specs, read on!

Design and Display

Nexus 5 has a 5-inch screen display rendering a resolution of 1080x 1920 pixels with a density of 445 ppi, which is even higher than G2's 423 ppi despite its larger 5.2-inch screen. However, Versus says that the LG G2 has more screen for every bit of side and top bottom bezel, meaning the face of the phone is 75% display, even better than top dogs iPhone 5s and Galaxy's 60%.

The thickness and weight of phones however don't vary that much. Nexus 5weighs 130 g while G2's at 143 g; Nexus is somewhat thinner at 8.59 mm as compared to G2's 8.9 mm.

Hardware and OS

Both phones are powered by Qualcomm MSM8974 Snapdragon 800 quad-core Krait 400 processor clocked at 2.3 GHz. But as per Geekaphone, G2 still reigns in this aspect with its higher linpack (1054) and quadrant (19815) scores, as compared to Nexus 5's 393 and 8844. Both of the devices carry 2 GB RAM.

Google 5 runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat which is upgradable to 4.4.4 KitKat while the Andoroid 4.4.2 KitKat update is now available for LG G2.

Battery Life

LG G2 is definitely more powerful than Nexus 5 with its 3000mAh as compared to the latter one's 2300 mAh. 30.43% more battery power makes a lot of difference, doesn't it?

Camera

If you want to capture clearer shots, then LG's 13 MP rear camera, 2.1 MP front-facing camera is significantly better than Nexus 5's 8 MP rear camera, 1.3 MP front-facing camera. Their features are almost the same: Back-illuminated sensor (BSI), Autofocus, Touch to focus, Optical image stabilization, Face detection, ISO control, White balance presets, Burst mode, Digital zoom, Geo tagging, High Dynamic Range mode (HDR), Panorama, Scenes, Self-timer, except for the Voice Activation option which is only available in LG G2.

Price

LG G2's 32 GB variant is priced at $420 while Nexus 5 costs $349.
