Kristen Stewart's poker face is no longer new, but the real reason behind that is one the latest revelations she shared to Elle Magazine as she takes on the cover of their September issue. Sporting a retro look and fierce expression at a grocery store, her photos come perfectly with a glimpse of her private life, discussing how the Twilight craze has shaped her public image.

"The day the movie came out there was a picture of me - in the New York Post, I think. I was sitting on my front porch, smoking a pipe with my ex-boyfriend and dog. And I was like, 'Oh shit, well, I have to be aware of that" she recalls.

Because of that incident, Kristen realized that she must maintain a strong façade and do away from the traditional 'sell-out' paparazzi poses, as she calls it. After all, the star shares that she cannot please everyone no matter how hard she tries to, so why does she have to try at all?

"Now I feel like if I smiled for a paparazzi photo - not that I ever would - that's exactly what people would be desecrating me for. They'd be like, 'Now you're going to give it up, now you're a sell-out' like, okay. What do you want? What would you like?"

Being on the laid back side despite all the fame and intrigues, including her recent involvement with Jennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult breakup, Kristen wants to stay in her zone and still keep that mysterious charm.

"Never at any point have I sat down and plotted how I should proceed from here on. As soon as you start thinking about your career as a trajectory-like, as if you're going to miss out on some wave or momentum-then you're never doing anything for yourself anyway. Then you're truly, actually, specifically working for the public. You're turning yourself into a bag of chips."
