Robin Williams 'Goodbye' Video Viral On Facebook, Symantac Warns Of Scam Exploiting Actor's Death: A post on Facebook shared a final message from Robin Williams. It was presumably a video taken on his iPhone. The Facebook newsfeed read, "Robin Williams Says Goodbye with his iPhone Video Before Suicide.

Although most news channels do not ask visitors to fill out a survey, welivesecurity.com reported that the popularity, intrigue behind William's death found numerous visitors and they were eager to check out the site for some answers.

According to the report via IBT, "The scammers have no qualms about exploiting the death of a famous actor and comedian to earn their cash, and give no thought whatsoever to the distressed family he must have left behind."

Internet security site, Symantac's Satnam Narang shared words of caution to protect web users: "Before you click on a link a friend may have shared on social media, follow these best practices:

Be vigilant and skeptical when reading sensational stories on social media sites. Don't install applications or do surveys in order to view gated content. It's a trick to put money in the pockets of scammers and your computer or device is at risk to malware. Visit trusted news sources for information. Instead of clicking on random links online, go directly to your trusted news source. Report suspicious content. Do your part by reporting these types of posts as spam."

In the greater scheme of things, Andrew Klavan, guest blogger at the LATimes, "Williams' suicide is a small story, but it is part of a bigger story: the story of our country and our world. That story unfolds only slowly, and no one knows what wisdom it will ultimately reveal. The best we can do is tell each chapter whole and true, without piety or fear or favor, " adding, "The best we can do is journalism."
