"Doctor Who" season 8 cast Peter Capaldi chose a more simple costume compared to his predecessors so kids can easily emulate him if they want to. Meanwhile, Jenna-Louise Coleman, who plays loyal Clara Oswald, could be leaving the show by Christmas.

When asked his reasons for choosing the costume, which is described by NY Daily News as as resembling a "British school uniform, "Doctor Who" season 8 cast Peter Capaldi said: "I wanted something that kids could emulate without going through any great expense."

He said that he watched the show from when he was five, which gave him an idea of what costume to wear for the 12th Doctor.

Just like his costume, he wanted to play the Doctor straight up, and really impatient.

"There was a lot of gentle pressure to do something crazy and zany, but I'm not trying to say 'Love me,' It's 'Here I am, take it or leave it. I'm a Time Lord. I don't have time for you,' "

In another interview with Radio Times, "Doctor Who" cast Peter Capaldi claimed that he still finds it difficult to play the Time Lord.

"I'm trying all the time to see what works and what doesn't work, though I'm trying to bring back some of the Doctor's mystery and strangeness, which is hard to do given that the show is 50 years old," he said.

Meanwhile, Jenna Coleman is reportedly leaving the show and Rose Leslie, who played Ygritte in "Game of Thrones," is the odds-on favorite to replace her.

According to UK's Mirror, Jenna Coleman will be exiting the BBC series after 18 months of playing Clara Oswald. The producers are already planning a grand exit for her character.

Although Rose Leslie is the favorite to replace Jenna Coleman, oddsmakers from Ladbrokes have also Chris Addison joining forces with "Doctor Who" cast Peter Capaldi and Karen Gillian "to make a shock return to the show," the Mirror said.
