Brittany Murphy death news have resurfaced after announcing last week that a biopic will be released by Lifetime. According to a report by In Touch magazine, the "Clueless" star's father has suggested that his ex-wife, Sharon Murphy, killed their own daughter.
The actresses was 32 when she passed away in 2009. She rose to fame after starring in the 90s teen classic "Clueless" alongside Alicia Silverstone and Stacey Dash.
In a shocking twist, Brittany Murphy's father, Angelo Bertolotti, has associated his daughter's death with his former wife.
"Sharon Murphy should be interviewed and investigated, first and foremost," he responded after being asked about the investigations of Brittany Murphy death news and her husband, Simon Monjack.
Angelo Bertolotti taunted: "Let her explain why she had my daughter execute a will, leaving everything to her mother and specifically excluding Simon. Let Sharon explain why she decided to do this right after Brittany and Simon told her of their plan to move to New York and have a baby. Let Sharon clarify how she was planning to support herself for the first time in decades, once Brittany moved away."
Brittany Murphy's father added: "Let her talk about auctioning off Brittany's underwear, passport, SAG card and clothes."
The distraught father points out that there are still many unanswered questions that have to be addressed about Brittany Murphy's death. "Out of three people living together in the same house, only one survives and benefits financially," he claimed.
When Angelo Bertolotti was asked if he suspects Sharon Murphy of being involved in the untimely deaths of Brittany and Simon, he responded: "Yes, I do."
The parents of Brittany Murphy have been accusing each other of being responsible for the actress' tragic December 2009 death.
Most recent lab reports from Brittany Murphy's death allegedly suggest the actress may have been poisoned.
Pathologist Dr. Richard Shepherd has revealed that Brittany Murphy's death could have been avoided if Sharon Murphy called an ambulance 24 hours earlier, the In Touch report said.
"By the time Brittany collapsed in her bathroom there was probably nothing the paramedics or hospital staff could have done to save her," the doctor explained. "But had she been taken to the hospital 24 hours earlier and given intravenous drugs, there is a very good chance she would have survived and would still be here today."
In related news, a Brittany Murphy biopic is confirmed for release this September, and people behind the Lifetime channel TV special allegedly did not consult the late actress' mom throughout the production.
According to a report from The Hollywood Reporter, the Brittany Murphy biopic will recall the late actress' rise to stardom, her career, and the circumstances of her unexpected death.
The biopic will feature 29-year-old actress Amanda Fuller as Brittany Murphy. Television veteran Sherylin Fenn will play the late star's mother Sharon Murphy.
