"Resurrection" season 2 spoilers and release date are up and with these, fans could expect big changes ahead.
Executive producer Aaron Zelman recently revealed that there will be a time-lapse involved between season one's finale to the premiere episode of season 2, according to Examiner.
"There's a very surprising way into season 2. We won't open right at the end of season 1. We come in about a week later. Things have happened in town that you'll get a surprise explanation for that will take things in a darker direction for season 2," Zelman said.
Michelle Fazekas, "Resurrection's" executive producer also dished on the importance of "fear" as a primary motivator this coming season.
"The fear is that we don't know and are stringing you along. But there is an answer. The show is not only about the answer, about why this is happening. It's about these characters and how this affects them," hinted the producer on "Resurrection" season 2 spoilers.
Meanwhile, Fazekas also confirmed new cast members who will be joining "Resurrection" this coming season. First of is "Game of Thrones" actress Michelle Fairley, who will be playing the role as Henry and Fred's mother, Margaret Langston.
"She's the mother-in-law from hell, literally," Fazekas said.
Zelman added, "A big part of the mother of Henry and Fred coming back is what she reveals. When the returned, they came back to have secrets. Her secrets have to do with the family business and what that secret entails uncovers a big part about the returned phenomenon itself."
In a recent interview, Fairley expressed her excitement to be part of "Resurrection," Spoilers Guide noted.
"I'm incredibly honored and excited to be playing Margaret Langston. I'm just delighted because I see it as an incredibly exciting opportunity to play another wonderful woman and I'm gonna relish it," she said.
"Resurrection" is slated for release this coming September 28 on ABC, Breathe Cast reported.
