It's almost the end of "Pretty Little Liars'" summer season but it's still quite intriguing, if not confusing, how certain events relay with one another.
On tonight's episode, Ali was nowhere to be found, but that's because she skipped town with her dad who was extremely concerned of her safety.
Even though Ali was away, Emily, Spencer, Hannah and Aria still found themselves in the middle of several issues, according to Entertainment Wise.
One of tonight's biggest reveals had to be Melissa's recorded confession addressed to her younger sister, Spencer.
Throughout the past couple of seasons, Melissa has been one of the liars' suspects for killing Alison, or at least the girl who was buried alive.
True enough, Melissa recently admitted that she had something to do with it. But she clarified that it wasn't her intention to get rid of a stranger and bury her alive. Rather, she thought Spencer killed "Ali" so she just cleaned after her tracks in an attempt to protect her, the Washington Post reported.
All four friends are not resigned on accepting Melissa's excuse so that's something audiences need to watch out for. Knowing Melissa, there's probably a lie somewhere in her story.
Meanwhile, Hannah tried her best to help Caleb address his drinking problem-slash-depression. Later on it was revealed to her that Caleb has been having dreams about his recent visit to Ravenswood.
After Miranda passed away, Caleb has not been sleeping for fear that his dreams would make him remember the past hurts.
Again, another interesting aspect in the "Haleb" tandem fans need to watch out for.
If these twists weren't enough, Emily and Mr. Fitz have been relying on each other for help. At one point Mr. Fitz even thanked Emily for trusting him, considering what he did with her good friend Aria.
Emily clarified that she doesn't really have any choice because she believes he's the only one that could help her, Hollywood Life noted.
So many questions need to be answered really soon, but knowing the show, they will probably keep fans guessing for long.
