Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini: The Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini brings its larger sibling Samsung Galaxy S5 into a smaller and more manageable package with similar features and specs. Samsung describes it as ‘ultra-secure’ and ideal for fitness training.

Some of the touted features on the Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini are the fingerprint scanner, heart rate monitor during fitness exercise and shored up by Android 4.4.2. The Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini was introduced this July, and has been released in parts of the world. Essentially, the Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini is a successor to the Galaxy S4 Mini and has an impending release date in August.


As far as specs are concerned, the Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini is a variant of the Galaxy S5 with a ‘faux-leather’ hardware design. On the inside, the Mini carries a quad-core 1.4 GHz Exynos 3 Quad 3470 processor outfitted with 1.5 GB of RAM, 16GB external storage along with a 4.5” 1280x720 pixel HD super AMOLED screen. The S5 Mini is available with a front 2.1 MP and 8MP rear cam.


The Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini edge is its portability, equipped with the fingerprint scanner and the heart rate monitor. It is also a smartphone with excellent battery life. Amazingly, just 10% of its battery can run up to 24 hours. It is also great for video viewing with a 4.5” screen a large version display on a mini smartphone model.
