Fans of Game of Thrones know by now that no one is safe in the series. Both villains and main characters, and even supporting players who have started to gain their following are likely to get killed at any moment. Some of them even get murdered as a group (remember the Red Wedding?) and fans never really know who to root for, without taking the risk of getting their hearts dashed into a million pieces when author George R.R. Martin decides that the axe should fall upon someone.
That being said, there's even more confirmation that has recently come out about Game of Thrones season 5 spoilers in the forms of major characters' untimely demise. Talking with fellow writer Robin Hobb, the Game of Thrones author talked rather delightedly about some heartrending tragedies he has in store for the next couple of events in the book series, and subsequently, on the HBO live action version.
Here is what George R.R. Martin has to say about the way the story is proceeding right now, "The way my books are structured, everyone was together, then they all went their separate ways and the story deltas out like that, and now it's getting to the point where the story is beginning to delta back in, and the viewpoint characters are occasionally meeting up with each other now and being in the same point at the same time, which gives me a lot more flexibility for killing people,"
Not that big Game of Thrones season 5 spoiler: characters are slowly making their way towards encounters with one another, and this makes it easier for them to kill each other.
So who's going to be next in the bloodbath that's sure to await our favorite character in Westeros? Will there be anyone left to actually ascend to power and claim the Iron Throne after the glorious killing spree that the author has in store?
Right now, it is anyone's guess.
