We can drop the new because they have been in a relationship back in 2009, but they ended it after a few months. TMZ reported that they saw the former Hollywood couple show up at the same place last Wednesday.
The website was able to take photos of Taylor Swift and John Mayer leaving the posh restaurant Chateau Marmount in West Hollywood, but in separate cars. Their source said, "John and Taylor saw each other but didn't exchange a single word." That must be an awkward moment for ex-lovers.
To clarify the rumors about John Mayer being Taylor Swift's new boyfriend, the singer's representative told US Weekly that their timely appearances were a mere coincidence and that they aren't dating. Her rep said, "Taylor was with Lily Aldridge and never saw Mr. Mayer at Chateau Marmont."
How can she not see him if according to TMZ's sources, they were just within eyeshot of each other while having dinner? Maybe they refused to speak with each other after everything they've been through. The 24-year old country singer wrote a song called "Dear John" which was reportedly about John Mayer.
The 36-year old recording artist expressed how he felt about Taytay's song during an interview with Rolling Stone. John Mayer said, "I never got an e-mail. I never got a phone call." He added, "I was really caught off-guard, and it really humiliated me at a time when I'd already been dressed down. I mean, how would you feel if, at the lowest you've ever been, someone kicked you even lower?"
Mayor also said, "I will say as a songwriter that I think it's kind of cheap songwriting." He added, "I know she's the biggest thing in the world, and I'm not trying to sink anybody's ship, but I think it's abusing your talent to rub your hands together and go, 'Wait till he gets a load of this!' That's bullshit."
Despite what the "Shake it Off" singer did to him, there were reports a few months ago that John Mayer wants to be Taylor Swift's new boyfriend. Classicalite reported that a source from OK! Magazine said: "John has been bombarding Taylor with emails and texts, telling her how much he misses her, apologizing for hurting her, and even singing into her voicemail."
