Anna Wintour has completed the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, said a report from TIME. The Vogue editor shocked fans worldwide after she accepted the nomination from her daughter, Bee Shaffer.

Much to the surprise of anyone who knows the bobcut-bearing fashion goddess, Anna Wintour accepted the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge and allowed herself to be doused with ice water.

The 25-second video clip of Anna Wintour doing the ALS Ice Bucket challenge showed her in a garden, wearing a printed sleeveless dress and dark sunglasses, surrounded by her family and two dogs.

The 64-year-old said to be responsible for the success of fashion bible Vogue says in the video clip that she accepted the challenge after being nominated by her daughter, Bee Shaffer.

Other than Bee Shaffer's nomination, supermodel Gisele Bundchen also nominated Anna Wintour.

After Anna Wintour completed the ALS Ice Bucket challenge, she nominated tennis champion Roger Federer and English actor Dominic West to do take on the challenge within 24 hours.

According to the TIME report, the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge is described as a Facebook trend wherein individuals shoot and post videos of themselves getting doused in ice water in order to raise funds for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) research.

Those who are nominated can either take on the challenge and nominate others, or donate $100 to the research fund. Some nominees have opted to do both, in order to both spread the word plus raise funds for ALS reseach.

A report from Daily Mail defined ALS, also referred to as Lou Gehrig's Disease and Motor Neurone Disease, as a progressive neurodegenerative disease. It is said to affect nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord.

The report said that, as of Thursday this week, the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge fundraising campaign has already gathered more than $41.8 million. The amount gathered clearly indicates the effectiveness of the campaign, as the same period last year only gathered $2.1 million worth of donations.

Anna Wintour is just one of the many A-Listers who have accepted the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. Other big names who have participated in the challenge include entrepreneurs Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg, as well as superstar couple David and Victoria Beckham.

Singers Chris Martin, Tim McGraw, and One Direction's Harry Styles have also completed the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, among others. Movie stars Gwyneth Paltrow, Zac Efron, Kristen Stewart, Jessica Alba, and Emma Stone are also among the supporters of the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge.
