This is exciting news since the Nintendo fans who could get their hands on before Wii U launches a ‘Holiday release.
Masahiro Sakurai who developed the Super Smash Bros. 3DS series said the video game will not be launched at the same since that would take more financial resources for debugging each game: “Checking is done both domestically and overseas, so for a game like Smash Bros., several hundred people are employed." Sakurai said. "So, debugging alone becomes a huge project. So much so that one of the biggest reasons for the separate release dates for the 3DS and Wii U versions was so that we could shift the debugging periods."

However, a report by attackofthefanboy.com reads, “Original Story: Super Smash Bros. has been all over the gaming news sphere the last few days, thanks to a number of different leaks, including some with video today that seem to point to them being real. Now, according to a poster on NeoGAF, Nintendo has revealed that a special Nintendo Direct focusing on Super Smash Bros. 3DS will be coming this Friday. One has to wonder if this Direct is in response to all of the leaks or if it was planned all along. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was pushed up a bit, with the Japanese release coming in a few weeks. The previous Super Smash Bros. themed Nintendo Direct featured a ton of new information on the game, so it is likely we will see mode, characters, and stage reveals at the least in this one.
An updated report by the same source said, the Nintendo Direct posting was by a NeoGAF member from a fake Twitter account. Nonetheless, it says that with a release looming in Japan, it is likely that a U.S. launch is imminent.
