With promotions for the light romantic comedy film 'What If' winding down, Daniel Radcliffe is now moving on to the total opposite of the genre. "Horns" is set to hit UK cinemas on Halloween this year.
In the Toronto Film Festival entry, Radcliffe stars as Ig Perrish, a man wrongly accused of killing his girlfriend (Juno Temple). One day, he finds horns growing from his head and suddenly finds himself with a supernatural power that could help him figure out what really happened to his dead girlfriend.
Along with his growing devil horns, Ig also gains the ability to talk to snakes and make people confess their deepest darkest secrets. He uses his new abilities to solve his girlfriend's murder.
"Horns" also features the 'What If' actor trying a hand at an American accent.
The former 'Harry Potter' star sports a darker, more dangerous aura in the newly released posters for the movie. With hues of black and red, the teaser looks every bit as sinister as the premise of the film.
"He will bring out the Devil in you," the poster ominously reads in an inverted cross.
In exact opposite of Radcliffe's teaser, Juno Temple's poster is bathed in white and hues of blue. While the 25-year-old actor sports red eyes in his poster, Temple flashes baby blues and her lips are the same shade as well. She's also wearing a cross necklace around her neck.
"She was his beauty, now she's his curse," her poster's epitaph says.
The movie's first poster cleverly hid the message "walk deeper into the fire" among words in a newspaper clipping, with a headline that questions Radcliffe's reputation.
The film, based on the Joe Hill's novel of the same name, also stars Max Minghella and Heather Graham. With Alexander Aja (The Hills Have Eyes) in the director's seat, fans are already excited for a very exciting and nerve-wracking ride on Halloween.
