The relationship between UFC President Dana White and lightweight hold-out Nate Diaz has been on the rocks but recently, both parties has mended their ways and had decide to patch up their differences. According Diaz, they are now in good terms with Diaz in terms on personal level but they still don't meet eye to eye when it comes to his pay.
White said "I took everybody out for the TUF 20 finale. It was a very, very, very rough night. A lot of damage was done that night. But Nate and I got together that night and talked, and we're going to get together when I get back into the country."
He continued "Nate and I got to spend some quality time together. You know, we were out having fun, we talked business for a little while. We got together in a room, and where he is and where we are, we're not even close...He's just got something in his head and we've got something else in our head."
It can be remembered that both Diaz and White had a word war when Diaz took a shot at UFC Fight Night 45 headliner Donald "Cowboy" Cerrone on Twitter. He twitter "Some people just suck way too much #UFCdick ... An they where cowboy hats."
In which White responded with "Nate can do whatever he wants to do. Nate can sit out and not suck any UFC whatever, for as long as he wants to. Who cares? He's a grown man."
Adding "Sit out for as long as you want, sit out the rest of your career, it's your decision. But to start making fun of guys who actually like to fight, and guys who go out there and put on unbelievable fights and people love to see him? (Cowboy) steps up and does what he does. People love Cowboy Cerrone."
Now that both parties have opened up their communication lines, it is most likely that they will come to terms in the long run. The possibility of seeing Nate Diaz fighting inside the octagon is probable with this new update in his career.
