Flappy Bird Creator Dong Makes Sequel: It looks like Flappy Bird creator Dong Nguyen is taking R&B singer Aaliyah's advice, "If at first you don't succeed, press retry and flap again." Nguyen has done exactly that. After going off line earlier this year after a feverishly popular online game 'Flappy Bird,' because it was too addictive and disrupting the routine lives of his gamers. No one, however, could explain why he would want to give up his earnings of $50,000/day on advertisements.
Dong admitted he too was experiencing a compulsive need to acquire more points on Flappy Bird. That decision by Dong tormented fans, which were doing every flap they could think off to keep their bird flying. Since capitalism has a way of creeping into our gaming markets, most people thought Dong would release a sequel to Flappy Bird.
And he did. He took his time doing it but he is releasing Swing Copters, a sequel to the Flappy Bird legacy. But many players have commented the Swing Copter is even harder and more addictive than Flappy Bird. If that turns out to be the case, in theory Swing Copters is headed for a doomsday themselves. So far, reports describe Swing
Copters as "impossible" in comparison to its predecessor.
"Swing Copters has a few things in common with its big sister. You have to tap the screen rhythmically to keep the bizarre little creature, which is wearing a propeller hat, up in the air. It also has the same retro style. But what makes this game so difficult is how you're constantly swinging from left to right, trying to negotiate your way through gaps without colliding into the mallets which swing from side to side," reports Metro
In philosophy, Swing Copters have the same addictive, obsessive effect on the user. Pretty much, you will require the same level of patience or maybe a tad bit more. And if you're having a bad day, you might even delete the game from your iPhone.
Paula Mooney of Venture Beat shares that Swing Copters is so hard that she's encouraging people to search for cheats because of its difficulty. Rolling Stone describes Swing Copter as "Maddeningly simple game asks users to guide a helicopter-man through gates outfitted with swinging hammers.
