Rumors of Ariana Grande and Big Sean dating started ever since the two collaborated on "Best Mistake." While the two kept silent on the issue, it appears they've come clean and confirmed their relationship at the MTV VMAs.

MTV News' Instagram post caught the pair holding hands backstage, for starters. In the clip, it appeared Ariana tripped, and Big Sean held her up. The two held hands afterwards, in plain view of the camera and the entourage.

Earlier in the evening, Ariana stole the show performing "Break Free" and "Bang Bang" for the MTV crowd. Sunday's VMAs weren't short on controversies and mishaps; Nicki Minaj experienced a wardrobe malfunction during her "Bang Bang" performance with Grande and Jessie J.

In a group interview with Hollywood Life, Ariana mentioned how she planned to celebrate the VMA success of her 2nd album. The PDA video with Big Sean suggested the rapper was part of her night-out celebration.

It's somewhat confirmed that Ariana Grande and Big Sean dating earlier in the month. According to an eyewitness, the pair watched a screening of "Purge 2" at L.A.'s The Grove, coming in late and leaving before the movie ended. The same eyewitness says she saw the two kissing before they left.

It's all but water under the bridge now, with all signs pointing to a romantic relationship. After the VMAs, Ariana comments: "I'm going to celebrate. My label is having a party so I'm going to stop by there and sort of say hi to everybody and then go home and have some fun at my house. Keep it chill."

An E! News source confirms what is now evident, that Ariana Grande and Big Sean are dating. "They have been friends since they made the song together. They have been spending more time together and recently have been getting very close. They are both doing great."
