Superman and Lois Lane took the time out from work to take the ALS ice bucket challenge. Superman is in full costume. Cavill, being the Man of Stell, took six full of ice water buckets, straight to his head. The stars of "Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice" Henry Cavill and Amy Adams did the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge in Superman and Lois Lane costume, shown in the video uploaded to Vimeo by Zack Snyder's Cruel Films.

Superman stoically sat as ice water bucket were poured over his head one at a time, the most amount of ice water bared by a celebrity, while his leading lady nominated her siblings.

The pair chose to take on the challenge during the filming of the movie, with Adams initiating the mission. Adams started by saying she was nominated by her partner, Darren Le Gallo and her daughter's father. She also explained the Henry was nominated by different people and then she challenged her siblings to participate in the fund raining, in order to increase consciousness about ALS. The Superman star was laughing and a little tongue-tied and mixing up her sibling's names. There were two production crews behind them, carrying the big white buckets, and after the short speech, Superman and Lois Lane were ready to get wet.

The ALS Association has obtained $88.5 million in donations. A portion of the amount came from 1.9 million new donors and some have come from past donors to the ALS Association, which is very thankful for this outpouring and tremendous support.

ALS, also called as Lou Gehrig;s Disease, is a progressive neurodegenerative illness that impacts the spinal cord and nerve cells. People affected by ALS lose the capability to control and initiate muscle movement, which always results to if not death, total paralysis within two to five years. Although, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved a drug that would extend survival, there is no cure for ALS.
