Batman v Superman News: Actor Scoot McNairy Wears Green Socks At Movie's Shoot, Fuels Speculation About Major Hero Role He Is Playing; Is It The Flash?

It's one of the most anticipated superhero movies in the making, and if you're making a movie about two of the most well-loved and iconic heroes of all time, you're bound to piss off some people who do not live to your expectations.

Such is the case for Batman vs Superman: Dawn Of Justice, starting out with the casting of Ben Affleck as Batman, and onto the casting of Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman. The uproar has been the same -- fans just don't agree with the casting choices because it doesn't fit with the versions that they have in their heads. Now the latest Batman v Superman news is a major spoiler about another casting choice.

For a time, it has been known that Argo actor Scoot McNairy has been cast in Batman v Superman, but it has not been confirmed what role he is going to play. Other casting choices had been made public, so there was much buzz that the role is a major one that will surprise everybody.

Soon, photographs of McNairy wearing long green socks while shooting the film has sparked a rumor frenzy. Fans speculated that he might be playing a "deformed Robin." Another guess is that the socks on his legs might be for the green screen so that he could be shown to be moving super fast, which meant that he could be playing The Flash. In any case, this is another major Batman v Superman news.

The Argo actor himself has weighed in on the issue, during an interview with Schmoes Know, where he said, that essentially he cannot divulge anything but he did hint at lingering in the superhero universe for a time for his role.

"I can't even elaborate on nothing.. but you know all those theories, all of them are great. I hope to be part of the DC Universe for a while." Entertainment writers are speculating that this means that maybe McNairy's role is a major superhero who will stick around for a while, long enough maybe to make it to the planned Zack Snyder movie, Justice League.
