Born in Los Angeles on 25 August 25, 1987 to actor Earnie and his wife Elaine, Blake Lively had her first acting stint when she was just 11. The debut was for a film called "Sandman", which was directed by her father.
The blond stunner's role as Bridget in 2005 teen flick "The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants" earned her a Teen Choice Award.
However, the role that shot Blake Lively to fame was her portrayal of Upper East Side teen queen Serena Van Der Woodsen in the hit 2007 series "Gossip Girl".
Now, almost two years after the series ended in 2012, Blake Lively news said she has kept herself busy with a new role: lifestyle entrepreneur. Ryan Reynolds' wife believes she can both be an actress and head of a lifestyle company called Preserve.
According to a report from E!Online, "Preserve" is part magazine with articles, recipes and fashion spreads. "Preserve" is also part e-commerce with Blake Lively's selection of products for sale that includes clothing, jewelry, food, and cooking equipment.
"It was a very natural transition for me," said the actress about the Blake Lively lifestyle website "Preserve". "Everything that Preserve is - it is everything that I grew up around in a big way."
Blake Lively didn't let many people around her know that she was launching "Preserve". "It's what I know better than acting so being in this space is something I've done my whole life, just not professionally."
Blake Lively explained. "So now it's something that I get to share with more people. I've been sharing it with friends forever."
Aside from being an actress, lifestyle guru, and wife,the "Gossip Girl" star is also looking at another new role as she expresses her intent to be a mother. Blake Lively was in the news recently for being vocal about her desire to start a family with "Green Lantern" co-star Ryan Reynolds.
The two wed in 2012 in a secret ceremony in South Carolina.
In the September issue of Marie Claire, Blake Lively said: "If I could spit out a litter of kids, I would," saying she wants to have 30 children.
Blake Lively also gushed about her husband during the said interview. "The best part is when we turn off our phones and just talk and hang out. He's my best, best friend. What do you do with your best friend? You do nothing," she said.
