Chris Brown has been dating Karrueche Tran for five years, and the "Turn Up The Music" singer has finally spoken up regarding allegations that his model girlfriend is just using him to advance her career.
Hollywood Life has previously reported that the R&B singer has had relationship trust issues in the past. Chris Brown has been dating Karrueche Tran on-and-off following a highly publicized relationship with pop superstar, Rihanna, whom he was with back in 2009. Karrueche Tran, an aspiring model and singer, has also been slammed by bashers and called a golddigger for allegedly just using Chris Brown's celebrity status to make herself popular.
Now, Chris Brown is reportedly happily dating Karrueche Tran without letting doubts get in the way. A source close to the 25-year-old singer told Hollywood Life: "If she's happy, he's happy".
The source added, describing Chris Brown's 26-year-old lady love: "She's living her dreams and he's just glad he was able to have the connects and put her up on game. He has trust issues but he sees this as an opportunity for her to work and make her own money."
The Hollywood Life report also wrote about how Karrueche Tran's hosting gig at BET's "106 & Park": "Just because (Chris) got (Karrueche) in the door at BET, doesn't mean it's a cake walk for her".
The source added: "He basically put her in the driver's seat but it's up to her to move the car forward. He's cool with it though."
Earlier this August, a report from TMZ said Chris Brown ended dating Karrueche Tran after the R&B singer "liked" the Instagram photos of Rihanna whom he dated on-and-off since 2008.
The said pictures were black-and-white photoshopped images of him and the Barbadian singer lying together on a bed and was originally posted on the account @mzfamebreezy.
The move allegedly did not please the 25-year-old model-singer, who reportedly changed her phone number to finally get away from her boyfriend.
In a surprising turn of events reported by Daily Mail, Chris Brown appears to be dating Karrueche Tran again based on a romantic anniversary message that he posted on his Instagram page.
Last Wednesday, Chris Brown posted on Instagram a solo photo of the exotic beauty with the caption: "Damn near 5 years and this woman still putting up with my sh**. Need to have this baby and stop playing! My WCW."
Karrueche Tran did a similar post on her Instagram page, with a sweet couple shot wherein Chris Brown had his arm around her. She captioned the photo: "Lovers.. Friends.. We love, we laugh, we fight.. It's complicated and I can't explain it but it's not for you to understand us.. My MCM."
