Fans of Derek Zoolander are wondering who's going to be included in "Zoolander 2" cast. Justin Theroux, who did a cameo in the 2001 film, revealed that he is working on the sequel. The 43-year old actor revealed in an interview his involvement in "Zoolander 2".
Theroux told Vulture, "We've got a script for the sequel, and we've just been in talks again. We're trying to sharpen it and hone it and, actually, I don't want to jinx anything, but it looks like it actually might be starting to get up and running."
With a new show to keep the actor occupied, it may be difficult for him to focus on the "Zoolander" sequel. Justin Theroux admitted, "It's actually been a little hard with the show, but now I'm back full-time to dedicate time toward doing it. I met with Ben Stiller a couple times when I was in New York doing The Leftovers, and then I'm meeting again with him probably in September."
There were reports that Jennifer Aniston's fiancé will be directing the film, but the plans have changed. Justin Theroux said, "I don't think I'm going to do it anymore. It really depends on whether the show gets picked up. If it gets picked up, then I don't think I'll have the time to do it. So it'll probably get handed to Ben, which would be awesome."
If Ben Stiller will be directing the film, then it may be difficult for him to also star in it. So who could be added in the "Zoolander 2" cast? Complex reported that Cara Delevingne is in talks to play a female lead in "Zoolander 2" alongside Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson, who'll reprise their role as Derek Zoolander and Hansel.
An insider revealed to The Sun, "Ben and producers want a big-name model for the film and they need to be jokers and full of natural comedy." The source added,"They are still working out what the exact role will be but it's likely to include a lot of goofing around."
Do you think that supermodel Cara Delevingne will be a great addition to the "Zoolander 2" cast?
