Former "The Voice" coach Shakira recently confirmed that she's having her second child - a boy - with husband Gerard Pique.
Shakira, 37 and Pique, a soccer player, revealed the news to the Spanish version of Cosmopolitan Magazine.
The singer also tweeted the news and said, "Yes, we are expecting our second baby!! Thank you all for your well wishes!"
A source close to Shakira also confirmed the news and revealed, "Yes, she is pregnant and she's very happy."
Shakira and Pique first met in 2010 while the former was promoting the 2010 World Cup anthem "Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)," according to US Weekly.
In January 2013, the couple welcomed their first child, Milan, now 18 months.
Earlier this year, Shakira performed her new 2014 World Cup single entitled "La La La (Brazil 2014)." At that time, she spoke with the Associated Press and said, "If it wasn't for the World Cup, my son Milan would not be here."
Just last week, Shakira and Pique completed the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge but no one really suspected that she's pregnant because the "Hips Don't Lie" singer was able to hide her baby bump, the Daily Mail reported.
Back in April, Shakira revealed that she wanted to already get pregnant with baby number two but couldn't because of her musical engagements, the same publication noted.
"If it weren't because of my music projects, I would be pregnant already. I would love to have eight or nine kids with Gerard - my own football team," she teased.
Talking about her son, she dished, "I used to go in circles around an idea, but since he arrived I didn't have much time - I have to rush back home - so he has helped me learn how to focus. When you have a baby, when you feel his love, you feel so at peace with the world. You just want to share the good news and share how happy you feel."
