Pixar's "Inside Out" trailer offers a glimpse into Riley's mind and her personified emotions.
Pixar's "Inside Out" trailer ends Disney's year-long dry spell. Based on the first sneak peeks into the movie's production, it looks like the animators at Pixar are taking a different tack with the approach.
"Inside Out" follows the life of Riley, a girl with a host of emotions running through her head, literally. She's been taken out of their laidback Midwestern community into the bustling city of San Francisco, where her father is called to take on a job.
Riley is driven, even pestered by at least five (confirmed) emotions; Joy, Fear, Anger, Disgust, and Sadness, voiced by Amy Poehler, Bill Hader, Lewis Black, Mindy Kaling, and Phyllis Smith. Her emotions live in Headquarters, which is the command center inside Riley's head. The tease of a plot alone makes for an interesting story.
Pixar's "Inside Out" trailer is very raw, but the first peak into the Joy character was unveiled a year ago, at an official Disney reveal. Currently, there are only the photos of Riley and her emotions released. It's yet to be announced which actor gets to voice the lead character.
Pixar's "Inside Out" release date is set to June 19, 2015.
"Growing up can be a bumpy road, and it's no exception for Riley, who is uprooted from her Midwest life when her father starts a new job in San Francisco. Like all of us, Riley is guided by her emotions ... The emotions live in Headquarters, the control center inside Riley's mind, where they help advise her through everyday life. As Riley and her emotions struggle to adjust to a new life in San Francisco, turmoil ensues in Headquarters. Although Joy, Riley's main and most important emotion, tries to keep things positive, the emotions conflict on how best to navigate a new city, house and school." (source: slashfilm.com)
