Kate Gosselin And Jon Custody Battle Continues; Is Mother Of Eight Desperate For Money?

Tags

We all know that Kate Gosselin and her ex Jon are not on good terms.

Jon Gosselin has been fairly good about staying out of the public eye since his "Jon & Kate Plus 8" days. The father of eight is now reportedly upset that Kate is putting their eight children back on TV, according to Radar Online.

The 39-year-old mother is reportedly abruptly canceling Jon's visits with the kids as well, which has caused a further riff between the former couple.

"He would love to take her to court and get total custody of his kids," a source told Life & Style magazine.

The insider added, "He doesn't want them on TV and he doesn't want Kate's influence on them. He'll do whatever it takes."

Kate Gosselin reportedly took over control of the kids' appearance on TV because Jon is unable to pay child support to Kate, according to a close family insider.

"If Kate is keeping the children away from their father, she leaves herself open to upsetting the court and they could change custody," family law expert Goldie Schon told the tabloid.

Schon added, "He can file for a modification of the custody agreement."

As much as Jon is unable to pay child support to Kate, the reality television mom is reportedly in the fight to make more money herself in order to secure her children's' futures as well.

TLC recently ordered up a new series with Kate Gosselin and her children, which will begin airing in December, according to Showbizspy. According to Radar, Kate was more than happy to take up the offer.

"Kate couldn't turn it down. She loves doing TV and it's basically her only source of income. The twins will be going to college in five years and then she has six more to put through, so she desperately needs these TLC Specials," an insider told the entertainment website.

The source added, "Kate's making more than $40,000 per episode of the new special series, but it's not clear yet how many episodes there will be."
